Child abuse in the Middle East is horrible. Most organizations that support child abuse are trying to put an end to the problem. Child abuse is widespread throughout the world, but is mostly found in the Middle East. Some results of child abuse are bruises, fractures, broken bones, black eyes, etc. When a child is abused, he or she may become reluctant to talk about the abuse out of fear. When a child grows up being abused they think it's ok, so when they have children of their own they abuse them too. It's a cycle of abuse that continues. United Nations investigators say in a report that children in the Middle East have been sexually abused in government detention centers. They are raped, beaten with metal truncheons, threatened and tortured completely. When investigators try to talk to children, they become reluctant to discuss what happened to them out of fear. Most children don't like the idea of an officer approaching them. They get scared and may immediately shut out the people they want to help the most. In the Middle East, the majority of the population is made up of children. Less than half of children in the Middle East are physically or sexually abused. 47% of children are under one year old. Children can have many problems caused by abuse, especially newborns. Children can suffer from shaken baby syndrome, which occurs when a child is shaken dramatically and causes serious head injuries such as brain hemorrhage, resulting in the child's death. Child abuse is a very painful topic for organizations around the world. No one wants to see a child being abused for no absolute reason. People in organizations dedicate time and effort to stop child abuse, but somehow there is just no way to… the medium of paper… leaves scars in their life. When you leave a scar it's like taking away a part of someone's life. Child abuse in the Middle East is a very serious issue, but not for the people who experience it. For us child abuse should be stopped as soon as possible, but we are still stuck. We as a country want to help all over the world. The Middle East has some of the biggest problems such as child abuse. in fact, this is their main problem. They feel nothing about stopping child abuse because they DON'T want it too. They want to continue the abuse. Our organizations want to help stop child abuse and we want to start in the Middle East. Works CitedCourt has appointed special advocates.
