The expectation that a student must meet to receive scholarships is to be involved in community activities and service and to be a kind and cooperative person with others. I'm that kind of person with those qualities. My overall life experience has been challenging because there have been some difficult moments in my life. One of my difficult life experiences was when I was hit by a 3000 pound vehicle. It was a Saturday evening when I decided to go cycling; I like being outdoors in the summer. The driver of the vehicle did not look both ways when he hit me. Because of that accident I broke my ankle and knee. I learned that life is difficult and important and I shouldn't take advantage of it. I am currently an active student who is involved in community service annually. Two clubs I participate in include KEY Club and Madera Academic Youth Association Club. Both clubs I am involved in are clubs that help my school and the community in which I live. On a few days of the month we host a soup kitchen in a hall called Griffin Hall, which is a place where members feed the poor. I think we should go and help those in need. An event in which the citizens of Madeira can calibrate together as a community and volunteer is LOVE MADERA. This year I volunteered at Millview Elementary School where I helped clean, paint, and plant flowers. I also help my church, Yosemite Christian Center, with cleaning and help with childcare so their parents can attend the service. Thanks to my ability to work and share with others, I am an ideal student for a scholarship. My future career goal is to become an accountant at a corporation, non-profit organization, accounting firm, or for the government. I see myself preparing... mid-paper... ovid for my family, I need to graduate and start a successful career. The scholarships will definitely help me with my college tuition and school supplies. Not only will it help me with my tuition, but it will also be one less burden on my mother. I am Mexican-American and I will be the first to attend a university like Fresno State. I am first generation and have high hopes of graduating and being successful in life. I also have two older sisters who were unable to attend college due to some challenges life threw at them. Another reason why I want to attend a college like Fresno State is because I have three brothers younger than me and I want to show them that college is very important in life. By attending college and earning a degree, I will show my younger siblings that they too can attend college and have a successful career.
