This, combined with my experiences growing up in a developing country, exposed me to problems accessing care resulting from economic inabilities and poor medical infrastructure. Problems with access to quality care are a global plague. Medical care as it stands seems more like a privilege than a right. Through medical training at Georgetown, I intend to equip myself with the tools to make the transition to the latter.
