The main characters also interacted when Jason was on the ship with his 4 other friends on what seemed like an impossible quest, he still had a smile on his face and on page 209 Hazel says that Jason was the only reason they could keep going.IDEASThe main idea developed in the text as the 5 friends travel on their ship they learn new information that allows them to understand more things such as the purpose of the war and the enemy's plans or what they can do to help stop it. The book begins with an introduction, then the rising action, then the climax, then the falling action, and finally the conclusion. At the beginning of the book there was an introduction. In the introduction he explained what happened in the last book and refreshed the reader's memory. Then there was the rising action. The rising action was the journey for both sets of main characters towards the home of Hades and the gates of death. Then there is the climax where the two groups of main characters reach their destination and face the great challenge that awaits them. Next is the falling action. In the action of the fall the characters meet and are relieved to have won. Finally there is the conclusion where they learn their next big mission.
