The Juvenile Division of the Circuit CourtThe City of CorrectionsvillePredisposition Report In the Interest of: Jack James Daniels President: Honorable Judge JudyDate of Birth: 07-7-84 Date of report: 03-15-02 Juvenile Officer: namePrevious Police and/or court history: On February 25, 1998, Jack Daniels was found at the intersection of Madison Avenue and Sixth Street throwing snowballs at cars. He was accompanied by other children from his neighborhood. Officer Jim Bob noticed the incident while patrolling the area and stopped the youths. He asked all minors to go straight home. He warned the individuals that if he ever saw them engaging in similar activities, he should petition them. Jack went straight home and received no petition for this or any similar offense. On June 4, 2000, Jack Daniels was found at a party with alcohol on his breath. The juvenile complied with authorities and was escorted by Officer Bill Otto to the Blue Earth County Law Enforcement Center. Officer Otto called the minor's parents and they agreed to take him into custody. The young man was issued a petition for underage drinking once his parents arrived. The respondent was ordered to complete a diversionary program which included: 20 hours of community service, attending an alcohol awareness class, and completing a paper on the effects of alcohol on the body. He completed all of the above successfully and on time. Reason for hearing: On October 16, 2001, Jack Daniels and other minors were reported to the authorities. At approximately 10:30 pm on the reported evening, a gas station attendant called 911 who said four young males were arguing in the parking lot of the Texaco gas station. Officers Cari Peiper and Leon Hoppe arrived on scene and found Daniels assaulting another individual. Police officers arrested all of the juveniles and escorted them to the Blue Earth County Law Enforcement Center. Officers noted that Jack was shocked and upset by the incident. Jack and a friend, Johnny Walker, suffered no serious injuries, only cuts and bruises. Gaylord Focker, however, suffered multiple injuries, including several bruises, scrapes and cuts. Gaylord Focker was admitted to Immanual St. Joseph's Hospital with a mild concussion, but was released a few hours later. Focker's friend Brad Kraus was also at the scene. He also suffered minor cuts and bruises. The juveniles were all released to their parents after answering questions at the Blue Earth County Law Enforcement Center.
