Everyone experiences failure; no one is exempt from it. One time I experienced failure was when I almost failed in sixth grade. It affected me terribly and still affects me today. I regret my past actions of not taking school seriously; all I did was jump and focus on having fun. I regret my past, but the question is: have I learned from my mistakes? Well yes, I did. I learned when to be a follower and when to be a leader. I learned to work first and then to play. I have also learned how to be mature and wise when it comes to my actions. For starters, I learned when to be a follower and when to be a leader. In the past I have always been the follower and when I had the chance to be the leader I thought about what my friends would do. Whatever my friends told me to do, I would do it because I wanted to be the "cool girl." However, as time passed, it no longer mattered. I started to realize this about halfway through my sophomore year. I arrived at a new school with no friends and decided to do good for myself.
