The cunning of colonialism in Africa changed its history forever, but there were good and bad effects because they built schools and improved medical care, but they also had segregated benefits and resource drain. During the period of colonization in Africa there were actually not many positive impacts of colonialism on Africa except modernization. Colonialism brought modernization to technologically underdeveloped regions of the world. The modernization plans contained such things as building railroads for accessible trade, called for medical advancements, and called for schools that accommodated more modern education. These approaches have helped green nations straighten out their universal status as midpoints for trade. Improvements to education have given immigrant students the opportunity to compete with foreign students in fields such as literature, art, mathematics and science. Another thing that had a positive impact on colonialism was the end of the countries' poor traditions. During the development of colonialism, the ruling nation had the ability to improve or destroy some social beliefs of the region. For example, once India was colonized, the long-standing practice of Sati was destroyed in India.
