Topic > The role of music programming on computers for music…

In today's world technology has evolved and continues to evolve to provide the best to everyone in the world. Above all, from what I've seen, music technology to what artists use has put a phenomenal spin on how it's brought music production to life. Music programming on computers plays an important role in this area. There are many computer programs used in music and by musical artists. “Music notation software has existed for more than two decades, and during that time many programs have appeared and disappeared” (7: Thompson). One of the well-known programs is Finale, a music notation software that uses playback and allows the artist to compose parts and also edit sounds within dynamics. It is currently used by most organizations, schools, and independent artists and composers. This program was also successful. Finale was made by a company known as MakeMusicInc. founded in 1988 by Phil Farrand who wrote the Nitpicker guides for Star-Trek and The X-files. He also wrote the original coda music software that later became MakeMusicInc. After each year, Finale releases a newer version of its software. Their latest software is Finale 2014 for Windows and Macintosh. Finale has over 200 built-in instruments with human playing and varieties from different parts of the world. The price of Finale is between $249 and $599 depending on the version, from academic to professional version. Prices are generally lower only when the user upgrades from the previous version to the new one. Prices also depend on the operating systems on which they will be used. With this in mind it gives people different choices on what to use. The aim for artists and organizations using this software is to create a more realistic feel and sound... in the middle of the paper.... .. included in the publishing software (42: Roberts). Artists like Timbaland, Soulja Boy, Basshunter, Afrojack and Fabolous use FL studio for their tracks. 9th Wonder, the leading hip-hop producer in the United States, also frequently released instrumentals through this program. For many artists and producers, the software has made life easier by literally doing things with one click instead of moving lots of controls. Avicii, known as one of the best Swedish DJs around, uses FL studio for most of his work. He was first introduced to the software when he was 18 by a friend in high school and then quickly became passionate about bringing more of his own music (19: Ware). Most of the production is made up of many loops that he created and then layered over his instrumentals. FL studio, believe it or not, also came out with version 10 which featured some sound effects from Avicci.
