In the study, scientists artificially implanted false memories into a mouse's brain using electrical impulses targeting a room called the "danger room" (Miller 1). With these electrical impulses, the scientists were able to place the mice in a new “safe” room and then activate the impulse creating the impression that the mouse was in the “dangerous room”.
