The Connections Between Rest and Exercise Rest and exercise are two main things you need to stay healthy. Rest helps mentally, emotionally and physically. For example, exercise leads to better rest, and rest leads to better exercise. Additionally, too much rest or exercise can damage your health. For example; too much rest can lead to overweight and lack of physical fitness. Exercising can cause an injury if it exceeds what your body can handle. Since these effects are negative, to prevent them you have to do both and not just one. Here are some ways rest is good for you physically. Some people train to build muscle and have great muscle strength.
