How much can a lie affect us? By definition lie means: a lie is a false statement made to a person or group by another person or group who knows that it is not the whole truth , intentionally (2).A lie is made up of two characters; the person who tells the lie and the person who believes the lie without knowing it. It creates a fantastic environment in which the person who believes it creates their present and their needs around it, while the person who tells the lie continues to create an imaginary world in order to preserve it. How long can a lie hurt or last? I believe it will always depend on the reason for the lie and the person it comes from. A lie can sometimes hurt the feelings of the people who believe that lie and also breaks the trust between those individuals. A lie can be as painful as a stab in the heart; it brings out feelings such as pain, deception, horror to name a few. On the other hand, a lie can save a life, prevent pain, suffering and in some cases even bring hope. It is somewhat contradictory how a lie can change someone for better or worse, it depends on the circumstances that force the individual to lie. Some people are forced to lie about their religion, sexual preferences, politics and even their personal lives. This does not excuse all lies, but I understand that sometimes there are things that we may not be able to accept or believe, so we are forced to lie. We live in the 21st century and to this day, whether we like it or not, we live in a world full of lies. There are people who are true to their traditions or beliefs, what I called old school people. I believe that until we have a better way to understand and respect others, we will do... middle of paper... harmful harm in the lives of others. We should always respect others as we want them to respect us. We hope that one day we could live in a world where we could tolerate more, where we could live respecting the preferences of others and social, economic, sexual, religious, etc.; where all human beings will be treated equally without exception, where slavery will not only be based on physical appearance but also mental. So next time we fall into a lie, we should first analyze why that lie exists? Who is telling us that lie? How much did it hurt us? And finally, how much damage have they caused to our surroundings? So with this I believe that lying is not as bad as we have been told, we as humans were not created perfect, we were created to make mistakes, to learn from them, to make the best of them. We will fall and then we will get back up with pride to become a better person
