This debt is only exacerbated by welfare recipients who abuse it to purchase illegal drugs that harm the economy and pose a danger to society. This is happening all over the world and nothing is being done about it. Some argue that drug testing is an unfair attack on the poor, but it may actually benefit them as a push to get help. Drug testing welfare recipients will improve the economy in several ways. It would be a Risorgimento change for everyone. I believe there should be drug tests for welfare recipients because workers have to undergo one to keep a job, so welfare recipients should also take part in it, it might help them solve their problem and become a better person, and taxpayers shouldn't do it.
