As Christmas approaches, my terrible English class is coming to an end. I came to English Composition I with very little experience in English. As I transitioned from high school English to my first year of college English, I learned a great deal from reading to writing. High school taught me the basics and served as a foundation to build upon. English Composition has opened numerous doors for me. First of all, my writing skills have improved this semester. My strengths are that I know how to approach the topic I'm supposed to address. In most of my essays, I struggled to stay in the same point of view with some small errors in organization and mechanics. My writing in this course wasn't horrible, but it's nothing that can't be fixed without practice. I plan to address these issues in the "real world" by proofreading my work before submitting my assignments. Most of the mistakes I made in this class were due to negligence or a common mistake.
