Knowledge in Fahrenheit 451 can teach everyone a lesson. Ray Bradbury's writings contain some accurate and some inaccurate predictions about the future. Fahrenheit 451 had many futuristic ideas of mechanical dogs working for firefighters. Firefighters work not to put out fires, but to light them to burn books. Montag, a firefighter, has changed the morality of his job. His actions get him into trouble with Beaty, the fire chief, who Montag later kills. Many of Bradbury's warnings are true or coming true. Meanwhile, Bradbury's predictions of technology taking over and society dying due to war come true. But some kids still work hard and talk to their family. Bradbury warned us about the obsession with technology in his writing, Fahrenheit 451. Montag saw how obsessed his society was with technology because he noted how “No one listens anymore… I just want someone to listen to what I have to say". (78). Montag is frustrated that people's opinions are no longer valid because society is too busy focusing on this fascinating technology.
