Luisa Landaverde4 April 2014Case n. TR14-02-000112The importance of obeying traffic laws It is important to follow all traffic laws to ensure the safety of everyone on the road. The number of road accidents and losses decreases significantly when people obey the rules on the road. Sometimes we forget how great the responsibility of driving carefully is. Traffic laws are designed to protect you and other drivers on the road. If we don't follow them we not only put ourselves at risk but also other innocent people. By knowing the rules of the road and practicing good driving skills, you help play a vital role in preventing an accident. You will also make security policies more effective. Many components play an important role in road safety, including posted speed limits and ensuring that safety devices are installed and used correctly. The main point of traffic laws is safety, but also maintaining order. Respecting the highway code is one of the most essential aspects of driving and can increase your safety and that of those around you. Knowing the traffic rules in our region and applying them can prevent us from being involved in a traffic accident and save us the suffering and costs of a fine for violation. If we didn't have the highway code there would be chaos on the roads and many disasters could happen. Rules are the foundation of society. If there were no rules everyone would do what they want and the consequences would be serious. For example, texting and using your cell phone while driving is very dangerous for you and other people around you. The reason why many people are against this action is because it causes many traffic accidents and deaths every year. While many teenagers and adults drive...... middle of paper......s to make traffic more efficient. For example, the Ohio Revised Code in section 4511.21 clearly states that "No person shall operate a motor vehicle, trackless streetcar, or streetcar at a speed greater than reasonable or adequate taking into account traffic." Road speed limits are used to regulate the speed of vehicles. Sometimes people are trying to get somewhere and go over the speed limit without realizing they are putting themselves in danger. Now, every time I get in a car with a friend or family member, I make sure they stick to the speed limit, don't text, and pay attention on the road. It is very important to follow these rules because they only protect us and keep us safe. If we want to reduce the millions of deaths that are caused every year by this imprudence we must start to be more responsible when we get behind the wheel.
