Any Canadian old enough can tell you what people were talking about during September 1972. It's part of Canadian culture and it's a kind of way of life. Canadians have always been and always will be passionate about the great sport of hockey. The 1972 Canada - Soviet Union Summit Series allowed Canadians to embrace this passion together and watch NHL players compete in an international tournament for the first time. We have always supported Canada in every international tournament they have participated in, and this was one of those centuries. The Canada-Soviet Union summit series was an exciting series that inspired Canadians around the world, as well as embedding patriotic beliefs in their minds and allowing them to believe that they were proud to be Canadians. In addition to these patriotic beliefs, he also developed the sport of hockey and helped make the game as fast and exciting as it is today. Here are three reasons to support this statement. The Canada-Soviet Summit Series had many moments that inspired Canadian citizens and helped develop enthusiasm for hockey among people across Canada, including exposing the game to children of all backgrounds age. This summit series has given us one of the greatest and most nerve-wracking performances Canadian and international hockey has ever seen. The way this series went with the Soviets coming back and managing to win as many games as Canada was very unexpected. It was a single goal and Canada prevailed it is worth taking a look at this series involving Canada. Canadian hockey along with patriotism is stronger than ever. We are all proud to be Canadians and passionate about hockey and this summit series has ignited that passion even more.
