However, breach or organizational data include interference with aspects of intellectual property, disclosure of trade secrets through fraud, access to consumer information without official authorization among other risks. On the other hand, sabotage includes often direct attack on the service, such as sending bogus messages to people or cybercriminals' efforts to disable organizational systems, among other significant issues (Knowles et al., 2016 ). Cyber attacks cause numerous losses in organizations that disrupt their routine operations, which compromises an organization's management control system (Dutta, Lawson, & Marcinko, 2016). However, despite the enormous losses suffered by organizations over the decades due to cyber attacks, it is crucial to keep in mind that only few crimes are reported or provide sufficient details about the damage suffered. Furthermore, most cybercrime incidents go unnoticed for years, especially in the case of industrial fraud linked to access to confidential company information. In case of an undetected security breach, companies are at a disadvantage while operating in the market as their reputation is damaged and competitors access their sensitive information and use it against the company. To handle the situation, it is important to appreciate the fact that there should be an effective global approach as criminals operate internationally
