The Renaissance was a time of cultural movement and the introduction of cultural heroes, known as “Renaissance Men”. One of these men was Michelangelo Buenarroti. Michelangelo was a world-renowned painter, sculptor, architect and poet who was of great importance and had a great impact on our modern culture. On 6 March 1475 Leonardo di Buonarrota and Francesca Neri had their second of five children. in the small village of Caprese, Italy. They called him Michelangelo di Lodovivo Buonarroti Simoni. But soon after Michelangelo was born he moved to Florence, Italy with his family. As Michelangelo grew up, his father realized that Michelangelo was not interested in school or the family's financial affairs, and would much rather observe painters in churches and nearby places. draw what he saw. After receiving special permission from the Catholic Church, Michelangelo was allowed to study cadavers to learn more about human anatomy.
