Genghis KhanIn the book Genghis Khan and the Creation of the Modern World, Jack Weatherford allows us to see the conquest of the world by the Mongols. It starts us off before Temujin was born. It introduces us to many of the great conquests of the Mongols, such as the conquest of China. The Mongols, during their conquest of the world, shaped it. As they conquered new lands, he displaced people he didn't want to stay there. He moved the most educated people to different areas of the world so that they could run his administration. According to Jack Weatherford, the Mongols played an important role in shaping the modern world. By spreading among educated people, you allow them to spread their knowledge to other parts of the known world. The Mongols used many inventions that they discovered during their conquests and spread them throughout the known world. In China they discovered gunpowder and paper. They brought gunpowder to the western parts of the world and used it to conquer other cities and nations. In this book Weatherford presents an extremely partial view of the Mongols. It just talks about the wonderful things the Mongols did and their victories. His presentation only makes the Mongolians look immaculate. To other nations, it might seem terrifying, thus making its pristine image a partial vision. Jack Weatherford is an expert on the Mongols, making senseless any opinion I might form against them. His detailed account from his gigantic list of sources shows that it is also well researched. It would be naive of me to question his superiority on this topic. However, due to his biased opinion, it's hard to say how much of what he thinks about the changing modern world... middle of paper... is the fact that 0.5% of people can claim to be decent. by Genghis Khan himself, that is, thirty-five million people around the world. However, it could be argued that its most important legacy was the fact that it spread among intellectuals. The spread of intellectuals stimulated a new era of intellectual ideas and warfare. The Mongols learned from the many people they conquered and relocated. This would leave a lasting effect on the world and would never cease to show us today in the modern world. The Mongols were some of the most influential people of all time, according to Jack Weatherford. They have changed modern warfare and the way we structure our military. The Mongols, however, will always be seen as ruthless killers because they destroyed anyone who did not immediately surrender to them. The Mongols created the modern world.
