Topic > The Effects of Homelessness - 1724

City commissions and federal courts should lift the ban on homelessness and instead support affordable housing. The federal government should set aside funding for housing and centralize homelessness. Subsequently, health workers will be able to reach the homeless very easily and monitor the treatment adherence of the homeless. HCH will also be able to manage the use of health services among the homeless and thus save costs incurred by offering health services to homeless people and families spread across different public spaces. Additionally, the housing plan will ensure that the criminal justice system is not burdened with lawsuits against innocent homeless people. It will also reduce overcrowding in prisons. More importantly, the ban provides no long-term solutions for homeless people and residents. Therefore, homeless people should not be banned from public places except with the provision of shelter. Providing housing for the homeless will ensure that community health programs are implemented effectively, as well as the sustainability of the population
