Standard Buddhist encompasses an immense corpus of writings dealing with philosophical, devotional, and religious issues, and each of the major divisions of Buddhism has its own identity or dissimilar adaptation of what recognizes the consecrated writings as legitimate; and in every place where it has spread it has received and adapted nearby practices. The development of Buddhism in much of Asia occurred in different ways. Shakyamuni Buddha set an example by being primarily an instructor, he set out to neighboring kingdoms to impart his knowledge to individuals who were open-minded and intrigued. Likewise, he taught his students to move forward in the world and expand his teachings. He was just trying to help others overcome the despondency and languor they were turning into in themselves in light of their lack of understanding. Later ages of devotees were energized by the Buddha's illustration and imparted his techniques to others which they found useful in their lives.
