Topic > The economics behind climate change and weather…

Weather forecasting can be defined in many ways; one such way is the application of science and technology to predict the state of the atmosphere for a future time and place.” While the concept of weather forecasting sounds exciting, meteorologists are taken for granted; people fail to realize that they can contribute so much to the economy. ''Is it possible to somehow make weather forecasts beyond one or two weeks?''. According to Matthew E. Kahn it has been shown that atmospheric scientists report long-term climate forecasts that are among the best they have ever had, and that they have been able to predict the climate up to six months in advance. Long-term forecasts are usually for more than seven days in advance but there are no absolute time limits. While short-term forecasts are weather forecasts made for a time period of up to 48 hours. Long-term forecasting still has its limitations despite its importance with the use of modern technology and improved techniques to predict the weather. For example, a weather forecast for today or tomorrow will likely be more accurate than a forecast for the weather two weeks from now. People seem to need to know what will happen in a more distant future than the next few days. So some atmospheric scientists have developed different ways to provide generalized perspectives of what to expect next. But these outlooks are different in many ways from normal daily forecasts. Forecasts for the weather in the coming months do not attempt to say firmly that places will be hot or cold, humid or daytime. Instead, prospects are about how the probabilities of a place being hot or cold will be shifted.
