Dynamic Character: Alby is a dynamic character in the Maze Runner story. The drastic changes Alby has undergone since the Change are clearly evident. He is a dynamic character because at the beginning of the story he is kind and also strict and is a leader who manages the Glade. After being stung by the person suffering and going through the Change, it becomes very different. He doesn't want to be the leader and becomes depressed, crazy and behaves differently. It feels like you become a completely new person. Static Character: I believe Chuck is the static character in the Maze Runner story. His character remains the same throughout the story. He remains funny, kind, friendly and loyal to Thomas. Help Thomas when he first arrives in the Glade. He always cared for Thomas and had a strong bond with him. He supported Thomas even though some people suspected him and in the end, Chuck sacrificed his life to protect Thomas from being killed by the knife. Chuck is a static character because his loyalty, attitude and character have remained the same throughout the story. Setting: The main setting of the story is in a mini society called Glade. We don't know in which part of the world the story takes place, we only know that it is called Glade and is surrounded by a labyrinth, which isolates society from the rest of the world. Furthermore, there is no specific time, but one could assume and believe that it is in the future. The Glade is a society separate from the rest of the world and there is no escape. The Glade is located in the center of the Labyrinth and is surrounded by a labyrinth in all four directions. It functions as a corporation and has farms, gardens, forests, cemeteries, buildings, and a courtyard. He f... middle of the paper... Mas's best friend in the Glade serves as a foil to Thomas. Thomas and Chuck develop a bond with each other and Chuck acts in a way that really brings out the main character of Thomas. Chuck often wonders what life would be like in the real world and really wishes they could find their way out of the Labyrinth so he could return to his real world. Thomas makes a promise to Chuck that he will bring Chuck back to his old life. This promise and Chuck are what shows the reader the quality of Thomas, his determination and drive to achieve his goal. It shows how strong Thomas' friendship is and how he is able to sacrifice everything for his friend. Chuck also brings out Thomas' adventurous and courageous attitude towards the reader. I think Chuck is the opposite character in the story because he is the reason why Thomas' traits and personality are revealed to the readers of Maze Runner.
