Topic > Booker T Washington Character Analysis - 1104

The greatest legacy he left to his students and to the South was the value of being diligent, of facing difficulties with will, optimism and strength. Furthermore, his charity was not one-sided, nor did he hinder other races to ensure the progress of his own; rather, it was universal and inclusive. Finally, his humility is seen through how he sees himself, rather than how others perceive him. Thus, his efforts are rewarded, and he is honored to this day not only by the African-Americans closest to his heart, but by all of America, for his supreme example of rising to a noble life from a pitiful world.
