Homelessness affects the way families live. Many in the country are facing the challenge of homelessness. They have to suffer many challenges physically and mentally. It affects the entire family from before birth until the day of death. Homelessness also affects their work and education. The problem of homelessness has a great impact on their lives. Homelessness affects a large number of people. In the United States, over 100 million people are homeless (Stearman 9). In fact, between 600,000 and 760,000 people are homeless every night (Hurley 31), and 1.3 million people are homeless at some point each year (“Impact of Homelessness on Children” 1). Unfortunately, homeless people are forced to live on the streets, in abandoned premises or find community shelters for the night. However, the vast majority of the homeless community do not have a roof over their heads. People become homeless due to multiple reasons, such as wars and natural disasters. Some may have had abusive partners, been divorced, or experienced the loss of a spouse. Additionally, insufficient income, unemployment, or discrimination led to homelessness. There are also many people who are homeless due to marriage rates. Being homeless can have very harmful consequences. Emergency room visits can result from being hit by a car or violence over family disagreements. Homelessness can lead people to engage in numerous dangerous or criminal activities. This may be more prevalent in families who have been together longer as a means of survival. Some homeless people may be arrested for living on the streets or forced to move by the police. In some countries, children living on the streets are killed because laws do not allow loitering. They have had a very hard life because they don't have the same advantages as the middle class. Homeless people have to make some difficult decisions to keep their family safe and alive.
