Topic > Reflection on Telling Time 15-1 - 723

Once everyone finished the tests, we distributed the interactive lesson worksheet for students 15-1: Telling Time in Five Minutes. Once each student has the worksheet, we observe a BrainPop on the Smartboard to refresh students' memory of the large hand and small hand and what each hand represents. I could tell that all the students were very interested in the clip because they were all focused on the screen and were engaging and laughing. After showing BrainPop, we had the students get up from their seats and go onto the carpet where we examined the large hand and the small hand and then gave them a show of practice problems on a large clock. When the students told the time we asked them to explain how they got that time so we could see if they understood. The only thing I would change about asking individual students the time is not allowing everyone to answer the question. My teacher said she loves to go around and talk and it gets everyone involved and you get to hear what the students know and don't know
