This theory increases selfishness in individuals that, in the long term, if our society was based solely on this theory, there would be anarchy and chaos. Psychologist Sigmund Freud spoke of humans having an innate sense of wanting to give in to desires, but laws and society don't always allow this. Freedom without responsibility would be dangerous. This could lead to things like cannibalism. It is absolutely necessary to realize that freedom is perceived in two different forms. To begin with, in the literal formal, freedom is seen as negative and therefore formal. “In this case it implies being free from being subject to the control of other people, being exempt from activities that may seem like slavery or even the ability to act completely free from the control or interference of other people” (Passy 1974).
