Additionally, at the bottom of the image there is a lot of text that talks about the company's great successes and invites people to "enjoy sophistication and exclusivity on first-class private jets more often." This advertisement uses the rhetorical appeals of ethics. According to the textbook, “ethos” is a method of persuasion in which the “rethor” attempts to persuade the audience by demonstrating his credibility or authority (81). In this case, the ad shows two famous actors using this airline, which makes people think that they could get closer to the lifestyle of their favorite celebrities if they chose the same one. Additionally, a logo is used in the ad. The text states that this airline is the most advanced and continues to improve every day. This tells people that American Airlines planes are safe and they don't have to worry about the quality of the flights. This makes this advertising extremely powerful and effective.
