Context of the study I chose the topic because I am a gamer myself. I really like playing video games. Whenever I play video games, my parents always discuss the bad things I can get out of them. They always say that I should stop playing, that there is nothing good I can get from playing these games. Playing video games isn't bad at all. It might be good actually. I chose this topic so I could do further research and delve deeper into what the effects of video games really are. I would love to show others the other side of video game effects. Significance of the StudyMany people play video games. Children in a restaurant play with their tablets while waiting for food. People in the internet cafe play different types of video games with their friends. Players can be seen everywhere. Playing video games is usually correlated with bad things, but is it really that bad? This study is important because through it people will know the real effects of playing video games. They will know what benefits they can get from playing video games and how to get them. They will also know how to avoid the negative consequences of playing video games. Even non-gamers could benefit from this study. Among these are parents who are often skeptical about the benefits of playing video games. They will also discover what video games can offer their children, how to get the positives and how to avoid the negatives. Playing video games is generally considered a bad thing. This is because not all video games are good. Research Proposal Statement Objectives This study aims to make people understand the effects of playing video games.
