Wilbur and Homer's relationship. I found it a little strange that Wilbur started forcing Homer to stand and help during births and abortions at such a young age. How he essentially decided Homer's life for him and isolated him from the world. The critical thinking trap I am guilty of is biased consideration of evidence. This is when a person is only looking for evidence to support their prejudices (Ruggiero 115). At the beginning of the film I had already decided that I didn't like their relationship and was just looking for more evidence to confirm my belief. After thinking back and reanalyzing some of what happened in the film, I can see that their relationship wasn't all bad. Clearly Dr. Wilbur loved Homer like a son and wanted the best for him. Even if he did it wrong, he still had good intentions
