As a child I was always taught the golden rule: "do unto others as you would have them do unto you." It is therefore not surprising that I believe that everyone should be treated equally, regardless of their race, and that everyone should treat others as they would like to be treated. I believe it is right and that justice is served for all. Violence, whatever the situation, is definitely not a solution and should be avoided. I appreciate the respect of others. Based on my self-reflection, this letter expressed the level of disrespect towards blacks, treating them like animals, beating them, bombing their churches and homes, slapping them, and kicking them. Violence was at an all-time high. There was so much injustice in that moment that it was disgusting and out of place
