Each article explains a different part of the government or its citizens. For example, the first 3 articles talk about the 3 different branches of government and their powers. While the Bill of Rights specifically talks about individual rights. The Constitution contains a total of 7 articles. They all have different purposes to serve and they all explain something different. Along with the articles of the Constitution there are many amendments. Since 1789, approximately 11,539 proposals to amend the Constitution have been submitted to Congress. But so far only 31 amendments have been approved.
