Topic > Vegetarianism: Characteristics and Types of…

A person who avoids any animal product, such as any meat or animal-derived food, is considered a vegetarian. This is the general classification of vegetarian. It is a challenge to classify a vegetarian; many variations have been created to fit certain diets. Lactovegetarians are vegetarians who consume milk and dairy products. Ovo-vegetarians eat eggs but not dairy products, and some consume honey. Lacto-ovo vegetarians exclude meat and fish but consume dairy products and eggs. The lacto-ovo-vegetarian dietary model also includes legumes, seeds and dried fruit. Vegans are the only pure vegetarians; exclude all animal-derived foods. There are also people who classify themselves as quasi-vegetarian, for example macrobiotic diets. The macrobiotic diet consists mainly of grains, legumes and vegetables and limited amounts of fish. There is also a case where people occasionally adopt vegetarian diet; this is called being flexitarian. Properly planned vegetarian diets can be essential for anyone, at any stage of their life. Vegetarian diets are associated with lower risks of cancer, death from ischemic heart disease, or any cardiovascular disease. Additionally, lower body mass index (BMI), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol levels, lower blood pressure, and lower rates of hypertension than non-vegetarians. Kidney and liver conditions can tell a person whether or not adopting a vegetarian diet can be beneficial for their condition. Those that have lower levels of protein, phosphorus, sodium, manganese and have abundant amounts of zinc and potassium are more suited to meat-focused diets, those that show signs of opposite levels are more suited to adopting vegetarianism. However… middle of the paper… it results in a longer life. There are many factors why some want to be vegetarian. Many believe that it is more ethical to become vegetarian. Slaughtered warm-blooded animals experience emotions and connections and are sacrificed to satisfy the deceased lifestyle of meat eating. Or suppose we support many genetically modified crops and feed them to the animals we eat; supporting only an artificial life cycle. Many vegetarians are born into this lifestyle; Most people from India are vegetarians because of the animals they worship. It's called the Asian-Indian diet and is predominantly lacto-vegetarian. Many choose this lifestyle due to health and environmental concerns; that we are a product of our environment. Whatever we take from the world or put into it is the reason why there are so many health problems, such as a life cycle.
