College students have some influence on their sleep habits, but so do universities. The University of Louisville, for example, is doing a “flash nap,” which is like a group of people taking a quick nap, and some universities even hold sleep seminars (Pope 1). Participants in one sleep study took an eighteen-week sleep course, then were assessed for sleep improvement, but this test only had a limited number of subjects, meaning it was not a reliable study (Hershner & Chervin 80). Additionally, spreading sleep awareness provides a positive outcome, although on a university scale it would be different.
