Buddhism places great value on the search for truth. This fundamental principle allows for the acceptance of science, as it is mostly seen as a modern truth. Furthermore, Buddhists believe in the evolution of human consciousness: this evolution, together with the truth presented by science, allows for a global acceptance of biological evolution. Even more interesting is that in the Agganna Sutta, a Buddhist sacred text, Buddha explains that the world has evolved over time.
