that have been created and then rejected, the statistics that cover the questions of gun control, and finally, the discussion of the results in my perspective of gun control. I'm on the opposite side of gun control for multiple reasons I described in the discussion, but I understand where the supporters are coming from. Firearms are very dangerous and should, yes, always be regulated, but only up to a certain point. Firearms represent our freedom to survive and our ability to hunt game. Our country has spent centuries with this law in place in the Constitution, so I would disagree with getting rid of it when statistics show we are more likely to go downhill than uphill. From my point of view, when you give someone a gun to protect themselves, they will understand the meaning of that gun. When you take away someone's firearm when you're dealing with someone who has a firearm, in my opinion, that person is going to beg you for a gun. The right to bear arms is a very protective, but dangerous, amendment, but to keep our homeland safe, sometimes it is necessary to make these types of decisions. The controversy over our right to bear arms will most likely remain active for the time being, and that is understandable, but let's hope that our government and most of our society understand the bigger picture
