The causes and effects of global warming In recent centuries the Earth has undergone significant climate changes. There have been many explanations for the main causes of increasing global warming, but according to the IPCC climate report: the human impact is unmistakable. The recent weather events that Canada experienced in Toronto and Calgary have shown that Canada is at great risk from climate change. A United Nations committee said it is more certain than ever that humans are the cause of global warming and also predicted that temperatures could rise by 0.3 to 4.8 degrees Celsius this century. According to the IPCC report, it is certain that pollution resulting from the use of fossil fuels is changing the earth's climate. Which is also responsible for rising sea levels, stronger storms and hotter days. New climate models suggest that sea levels will likely rise by nearly a meter by the end of this century. Furthermore, heat waves are likely to occur more frequently and last longer, humid regions will receive more precipitation, dry regions will receive less precipitation. Severe climate change is headed our way. The report also states that greenhouse gas emissions will further alter the atmosphere over a century from now as snow will disappear from all but the most beautiful mountains, deserts will spread and seas will turn acidic, causing the destruction of coral reefs. in 2007 stated that rising temperatures across the Earth were likely to be caused by humans, but the subsequent report made it starkly clear that people are a major reason for unnatural climate change. The PJ Parrington Institute for Climate Change said the report outlined a stark choice: “If we continue on our current trajectory, it will be a… middle of the paper… and human activities will play a key role in global warming. I believe humanity is responsible for increasing the amount of natural gases already in the atmosphere which accelerates global warming. This is because humanity is primarily responsible for adding large amounts of greenhouse gases to the Earth's environment. Greenhouse gases build up in the atmosphere and trap heat, which raises temperatures causing global warming. And the effects of global warming are widely observed in Canada, causing extreme weather and flooding.
