Education: “When you know better, you do better.” The charismatic African leader Nelson Mandela once said that: “Education is the most powerful weapon that you can use to change the world”. This is indeed so. The occurrence of positive events and the cessation of devastating events in history have been due solely to the use of education. Events can range from the abolition of slavery, to the European revival and formation of great civilizations, to the control of disease, to increased literacy, and to dialogue-oriented solutions, e.g. peace treaties. Thus, education is an entity that brings change. It alters our thinking as well as our actions. On the other hand, it encourages what is right and discourages what is wrong education forces our mind to think carefully and then act. Therefore, the reason why most people rarely talk about education as a primary necessity is a surprising question. However, peace and justice, freedom and equality, economic prosperity and good leadership are often required. This implies that the true purpose of education has not been realized. As a result, people are caught in a web of new problems on top of old ones. Global issues always require urgent, adequate and contingency solutions. Generally speaking, the only answer is education. The reason is that education stops harmful events, solves global problems and creates a better world with a better education system. Therefore, the properly educated population would do its part to instinctively improve society. Global or local issues would be resolved naturally and seriously by an educated and united population. Furthermore, the world would be less problematic than it is today. Therefore, education must be the top priority in all underdeveloped, developing and developed countries. This will ensure a better life... middle of paper....... It can bring freedom, peace, justice, prosperity, equality and tolerance. Furthermore, it can help stop any bad situation, as long as it is implemented properly by educated people. Although the benefits are enormous, it can only be effective when the education system itself is better across the globe. As a result, every country would enjoy the fruits of education. Ultimately, because the heart and oxygen are useless without each other. Likewise, action plans containing two factors are important and needed of the hour. The first is to develop a comprehensive strategy to improve the education system. The second, and most important, is the implementation plan. Without the second the first is useless and vice versa. Last but not least, American philosopher John Dewey expressed profound wisdom that “Education is not a preparation for life; education is life itself.”
