They are perpendicular to the other bars and once squared, weld them. The four bars should protrude from the coat rack. On one side with the two 12 inch bars sticking out there should be a space that measures 17 inches and you should have a couple of bar pieces that long. One of the bars goes on one and the other goes on the other side. Once they are ready for soldering, you know what to do. This leaves you with two 26-inch long pieces, which go to the intersection of the 12-inch and 17-inch pieces. They connect the two pieces that are hanging in front together. It was a long weld and now sand all the weld mark with the angle grinder. If it has any rust, sand it too. So get your hooks; they go on the bar 48 inches from the ground and on the bar 78 inches from the ground. They fit four inches inside the coat hanger and once they are where you want them, solder them using the pre-drilled holes in the hooks. The final step is to paint the coat hanger, you can paint it any color you want. I chose black because it blended in with the other furniture in the room. You've now built the coat rack and have all your coats hanging and organized. You've learned how to be safe around tools and how to use safety equipment, how to get the material to cut for the coat hanger, and now you've built the coat hanger by following these steps. Now that life is simpler you have less time to worry about your things
