Topic > The Moral Point of View - 1500

While some have influenced my position on the moral point of view, others have not. Divine command theory is based on theism and the fact that humans need God's help to be good. A right action is one that God commands as right while a wrong action is one that God commands as wrong. This theory is impracticable because it is contradictory. God can command whatever, whenever He wants, which would mean He is arbitrary. This theory does not influence my position on the moral point of view because if it were a practical theory, it would neither support nor deny the moral point of view. There is no balance to consider in this theory because God decides what is right and what is wrong for humans so they know what to do
