Migration has always been reported as a precise way of contributing to the growth of both the social and economic spheres. Over the years, scholars, legislators, and other actors involved in studying and policy-making on immigration laws have emphasized that migration helps migrants' countries of origin achieve development at a rapid pace. This is because migrant citizens tend to ease unemployment pressure, thus giving governments at home ample time to plan development agendas. The world's view on migration has not remained constant, due to fluctuating development outcomes (Bailey, 2010). This is sometimes; negative effects have been reported and, at other times, the reported results have proved positive towards the development of both the homeland and the migration destination. Due to varying migration outcomes, policies related to development and migration have been developed in reaction to variation issues. For example, towards the end of the 20th century, the view of migration changed from being seen as a factor of development for the states of origin of migrants to as a factor that leads to economic growth in the states of destination ( Geiger & Studies, 2013). This is due to the recently developed problem of pressure caused by migration. Many politicians argue that immigration levels have reached intolerable levels. The issue of security, especially for receiving countries, also arose due to the massive influx of immigrants into these countries. Due to these newly developed problems, the idea of immigration has suffered a major setback. Terrorism has been the cause of great anxiety in most countries across… middle of paper… the developed part of the world turns out to be deforestation and exploitation of land specially set aside for nature conservation. The exchange of cultures also equates to the spread of lifestyles that are harmful to the environment. Preventive control of the negative consequences of migration and development is important to create a free and stable world. The fact that immigration affects every part of the world requires that every citizen of the world plays a role to ensure that negative threats are controlled. As for the effects that are beyond the control of the ordinary person, there is an urgent need to take a closer look at the policies currently in place. Changing and creating stricter policies is absolutely necessary. Further research is needed with the aim of addressing emerging issues related to immigration and development.
