Big Bang Theory You've probably all heard of this theory: the Big Bang Theory. The Big Bang theory is one of the most accepted models of our universe. This model estimates the beginning of our universe at about 13.8 billion years ago. The model says that at the beginning of all this, our tiny universe was extremely hot and dense. However it was expanding rapidly. Soon after our universe stopped expanding so rapidly, the first atoms formed. These atoms are believed to be primarily hydrogen and helium with small amounts of lithium. The other elements are believed to have formed in the cores of the many stars that formed. The big bang theory offers an explanation that seems very likely for numerous events we have observed. For example, the fact that other galaxies are moving away from our galaxy suggests that the universe is still expanding, and that it was once smaller, then denser to the point where the universe was infinitely dense or nearly infinitely dense . The model isn't sure what might have happened at first. To get really technical, the premise of the Big Bang theory is that there is no space, but infinite energy. In other words, there is nothing with an infinite amount of energy. This is called a singularity. However, when the universe reached the singularity point, physics as we know it would be unable to explain anything. Research on this topic has found that a previous universe collapsed, not to the point of singularity but very close to it, that the effects of quantum mechanics repelled gravity, causing the universe to expand again and forming the universe as we know it today. Arguments againstSince no one is sure what happened in the beginning. T...... middle of paper ...... to make the sky, there is fertile, grassy land with plants and trees. After this God created the sun, moon and stars. On the fifth day God filled all the seas with fish of every kind. God then proceeds to create birds, mammals, reptiles, livestock, and finally humanity. Humanity is destined to rule fish, land animals and birds. He gave humanity the responsibility to rule the world and do whatever it wants. Arguments AgainstIf this theory were true, our universe would only be 12,000 light years in diameter. Since it is stated that the universe was created 6000 years ago, and since nothing can travel faster than light. This makes the entire theory redundant since we have observed multiple galaxies that far exceed 12,000 light-years in diameter. Furthermore, there is no proof or evidence to support the existence of a god of any kind.
