Topic > Democratic Republic of the Republic - 1009

The members of the Algo ethnic group are eager to work with representatives of the other three ethnic groups living on the territory of the Republic of Jarth, respectively: Randies, Takas and Dorfas, in order to create a new constitution for the renewed Democratic Republic of Jarth. As a representative of the Algo ethnic group, I want to say that our people would like the new state to introduce a parliamentary system of government. Parliamentarism is a system of government in which the head of government is elected and accountable to a parliament or legislature. One might rightly ask: what is the reason why we desire this? We think it's justified because in presidential systems the general population votes for a chief executive, who is the president, in a nationwide election. This is relevant since the Algo comprises the minority population of the Republic of Jarth, which consists of only 1.1 million representatives statewide, compared to Randy's 2.9 million, Dorfa's 3.8 million, and 2.2 million Taka living in the Republic of Jarth. It can be reasonably assumed that the result will most likely be that the accumulation of majority votes will hinder the representation (in numbers) of minority incumbents. Afterwards the Algo will have to live again under the control of a leader from another ethnic group, which the Algo members tremble at the thought of because we are proud of their ethnicity and do not want to be ashamed of this. In parliamentarism, however, the first step is the election of the members of parliament, which are the political parties. This is fundamental since it will allow the Algo to be able to choose the party with which we really share interests.... middle of the paper... I have already said above, the Algos make up the smallest part of the Algo population of the Republic of Jarth, so there is a great probability that even in Parliament their number will be less represented than other ethnic groups. We are also aware that the party that ALGO members will most likely support will not be able to convince others to introduce the law in the form we want it to be. For this reason, for Algos it would be better if the law could be reviewed by the judges (perhaps even subject to modifications) and not be introduced without doubt, as always happens under parliamentary sovereignty. The Algo ethnic group hopes that all the representatives of the Republic of Jarth find a way to create a new constitution that will more or less satisfy all ethnic groups of our respected country.
