When people think their dreams are being postponed, do you think of a Raisin in the Sun? A Raisin in the Sun is a film based on a play written by Lorraine Hansberry. Usually people think of movies as a better option because they are better, higher quality, better than the play/book, a preferable way, you don't have to read a book and it's pretty much the same thing. The film and the play have many similarities and differences. Both deal with the same plot, but there are many differences between the film and the play, as well as similarities between the film and the play. Usually films try to take the story to a different level either by adding parts or simply trying to change it. to a completely different story. Some of the differences between the movie and the book are small and big differences. They might even try to take away small parts that will change the way readers see the characters in the story. An example of this would be Walter not smoking in the film (p. 115). Walter usually smokes because he is stressed or just to relax. Even Walter doesn't get punched by Mom...
