In the year 2013 GEO signs a contract with Florida Atlantic University to place GEO's name on the school's stadium (Prison legal 2015). This event sparked protest among the college students. GEO employees were also unhappy with the situation. Likewise, I can personally speak about this incident, I along with my colleagues were wondering how the company can make such a huge donation to the school, but not give the employees any raise or incentive. After enormous publicity, protests and outrageous comments on both sides, GEO GROUP has decided to withdraw from the six million dollar donation agreement to Florida Atlantic University. Additionally, in 2012, an inmate at the South Bay Correctional Facility (GEO GROUP), received one point two million dollars, for losing sight in one eye, while being assaulted by another inmate (Palm Beach Post 2012). As a result, GEO GROUP makes huge profits but suffers from major lawsuits like the previous one
