Topic > Causes and effects of climate change - 840

According to NASA “The industrial activities on which our modern civilization depends have increased atmospheric carbon dioxide levels from 280 parts per million to 400 parts per million over the last 150 years” (NASA). This will have consequences on the environment as temperatures and seasons change. Climate change has become so severe that glaciers are melting at an alarming rate. That said, over the years there have been warnings and there have been ways that people have tried to keep climate change from slowing down a bit. We have created ways to save trees and use different natural resources to help the environment destroy it at a slower rate. With all these changes there is a price to pay, however, the amount of money for all the resources is what makes people reconsider whether they need to help the planet or help their own pockets. Helping the planet and slowing climate change has always been a goal, but it comes with a very high price that not many people want to pay, which makes fewer people want to participate in the activities at hand.
