Although many people don't see it, I like to describe space as a glorious world without borders waiting to be discovered by humans. During the scientific revolution, people became aware of our solar system and wondered whether or not we are located at the center of the universe. Many of the greatest scientists of this era, such as Galileo, believed that the sun was at the center of the universe and that the Earth revolved around the sun. It was during this era that people became fascinated with space for its vast array of discoveries. Now, living in the 21st century has taught me how fortunate we are to witness the new inventions and discoveries created by NASA to explore space. Space agencies, like NASA, have taught us what the Earth really looks like and have led to new inventions that contribute to our lives. During these last years of space discoveries, many people opposed spending money to invest in space exploration and claimed that it was a waste of money. It's a shame that these people think that space is just a waste of money when in reality it is a contribution to our lives and an essential realization of how we can expand our world. Space exploration should receive priority funding because it will benefit education, employment and inform us about natural disasters. Space exploration is known to create an intellectual understanding of our Earth and has become an influence for us in understanding our solar system. Throughout history, many people have studied the view of our universe from Earth, but now we can rely on technology and discover other galaxies and planets. As space exploration became more advanced, it began to teach people about our universe and attracted many people to work at NASA. From our nation's space explorer... middle of paper... communication satellites are a great advantage for us, they can help us at certain times. Satellites are also of great use to us when it comes to weather forecasting and GPS tracking which helps us when we are lost or isolated to call for help. Even though space exploration might be expensive and should be spent on other matters, it still seems worth investing in space exploration for the great inventions and knowledge it has provided us since the space race. Many other countries have also been greatly influenced by NASA and have started their own agencies that share the same dreams as every other country. Overall, I think it is better for us to continue space exploration as it was the beauty of nature that welcomed us to another world. The universe is infinite and we are just a small speck waiting to explore the true nature of our external world.
