Wyatt “cannot complain with my words”, “cannot speak”, “nor intelligent without complaining”, “nor turn the word”. In this series of denials it is always his voice or his words that are affected. The absence of truth stole his voice for Wyatt. An interesting string to consider in this series of negations is the alliterative thread that opens this passage "I cannot complain and moan/and suffer anything, nor get angry without complaining with my words", the only places in this string where the 'C ' hard the sound is found in denials and in the action of complaining. This string reinforces his inability to speak, his inability to do so
