When I finished last semester, I started thinking about what I really wanted to do with my life in terms of my career. I started my semester at Northridge as an accounting major and after a few semesters I wasn't sure if this was the career I wanted to pursue, so this semester I decided to venture into another major. Getting advice from consultants and doing research on my own, I started looking at a couple of specializations; i.e. Management, Finance and Liberal Studies. As a result, this semester I decided to take a management course to see if this major was something that interested me. This decision may have delayed the length of my education, but I still decided to take the opportunity. After this semester, I'm not sure what I'll do regarding my major, but it's a problem I need to solve. In the textbook Developing Management Skill by David A. Whetten, he talks about a four-step procedure for analytical decision making (Whetten & Cameron, 2015, p. 140-142). I feel like this is something I can do to help me figure out what I want to do regarding my major. I'm at a point where the fear of not knowing what career I want to pursue is starting to worry me. I'm not sure if my decision to venture into a different major was a bad idea, but I hope I can use it as another learning experience, regardless of whether it was right or wrong
