I was on the last lap of my high school career, graduation was in sight, and college was on the horizon. Yes, there were some speed bumps along the way, but the vision was always clear. I wanted to enjoy college. High school was a real drag for someone like me. I wanted to take part in activities and classes that I knew I would enjoy or could appreciate. I felt like nothing would stop me and, for the last three weeks, nothing has. Throughout my life, Nana has been a major influence considering my high school and current college career. While others discouraged me primarily because of who I am personality-wise, at least most of those around me, she never lost hope in what I could do. Now, I'm not saying that no one else cared about inspiring me or believing in me. My grandmother, however, was the most noticeable. Unlike those who believed in me, the words he spoke seemed pure like sweet caramel. It may be difficult to understand for those who haven't known me for a hundred years
